to pierce the wound, softly is a film that depicts the burden of the wounded Divine Feminine as well as the joy of her healing and embodied self. Illustrated throughout the piece are expressions of pain and matrilineal generational trauma, alongside their relationship to the concept of the divine feminine. The process of making this film was both a practice in connection and community building as well as a ritual towards healing.
